USMC and Service-Based Recognition

Andrew served in the USMC from 2002 to 2008, where he learned the values of discipline, honor, and community. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and recognized for his participation in key community-based efforts.

He received a Letter of Appreciation for his support of the 10th Annual NAS Lemoore Marine Corps Volkslauf Mud Run in 2003, and a Certificate of Participation for Operation Alaskan Road in 2005, a joint military and community construction project in Alaska.

Andrew’s time in the USMC continues to shape the way he leads today—as a Vice President and Senior Trust Manager in the finance industry. His sense of duty and forward-thinking mindset carry through every client relationship, community activity, and leadership role he takes on.

Early Community Service and Fire Company Involvement

Long before his career in finance and wealth management, Andrew served as a volunteer firefighter from 1997 to 2002.

During his time there, he earned multiple recognitions, including:

  • Top 10 Responder in 1997
  • Top EMS Responder and Top Fire Responder in 1998
  • Chiefs’ Award for service and dedication
  • An official citation for his role in responding to a high-rise fire at 902 N. Market Street in 1997

Through his firefighting service, Andrew developed a strong foundation in leadership and teamwork. His early experience in emergency response has informed his commitment to serving others, both in high-pressure situations and in everyday life.

Charitable Giving and Ongoing Support

Andrew remains an active donor to causes he believes in. He is a monthly Guardian-level supporter of the ASPCA, showing his long-term commitment to animal welfare. He also donates annually to a local volunteer fire company, helping ensure they have the resources to continue protecting their community.

He supports the American Red Cross, where he has also completed his Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. This combination of hands-on training and financial support reflects Andrew’s belief in both immediate action and long-term impact.

Civic Involvement and Public Service

In addition to his volunteer and charitable efforts, Andrew has participated in civic activities that reflect his commitment to community leadership. He completed jury service in 2005 and was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation. Earlier in life, he took part in The American Legion Trooper Youth Week in 1997—an experience that helped shape his values of public service and personal accountability.

Andrew Rankin Delaware continues to lead by example—supporting his community, contributing to causes that matter, and applying the same sense of responsibility that guides his work as a finance professional.
